Dubsado is a client management and CRM platform designed for freelancers, creative professionals, and service-based businesses. Founded in 2016, it serves photographers, coaches, consultants, designers, and other service providers who need to manage client workflows from lead capture through final payment. In late 2025, Dubsado launched version 3.0, its most significant platform redesign, with improved UX, AI-powered email summaries, enhanced calendar management, and a rebuilt scheduling system.
Dubsado offers two paid plans, both billed per business rather than per user. The Starter plan at $35/month (monthly) or $335/year covers contracts, invoices, forms, a client portal, and email templates — the core tools for organized client management without automation. The Premier plan at $55/month (monthly) or $525/year adds automated workflows, scheduling, public proposals, Zapier integration, and bookkeeping software integration. Three additional users are included free on both plans; adding users for teams of 4–10 costs $25/month, 11–20 costs $45/month, and 21–30 costs $60/month. Additional brands cost $10/month each.
The 21-day free trial provides full access to the Premier plan with no credit card required — three times longer than HoneyBook’s 7-day trial. The platform has no volume caps on clients or projects on either plan.
Dubsado’s core competitive advantage over HoneyBook is its automation depth — the workflow builder (called Flows in 3.0) can trigger complex sequences automatically after client actions. Dubsado also supports global payments and is not limited to the US and Canada like HoneyBook. The main weakness is the learning curve: Dubsado requires significant setup time to fully configure workflows, canned emails, and form templates before it delivers full value. Many users report spending 5–15 hours on initial setup.
