Envato Elements is an unlimited creative asset subscription operated by Envato, the Australian company behind ThemeForest and CodeCanyon. For a single monthly or annual fee, subscribers download unlimited stock photos, video footage, music tracks, sound effects, graphic templates, WordPress themes, fonts, 3D models, and presentation templates. The library exceeds 27 million items as of 2026.
Envato was acquired by Shutterstock in 2024 for $250 million. Following the acquisition, the platform underwent a February 2026 pricing restructure that introduced tiered AI generation limits, replacing the previous unlimited-everything model. The restructure created three subscription tiers — Core, Plus, and Ultimate — differentiated primarily by how many AI-generated images, videos, and other content types subscribers can create each month.
The Core plan starts at $16.50/month when billed annually ($33/month for monthly billing). It includes unlimited asset downloads but caps AI generations at 10 per month. The Plus plan adds 100 AI generations per month at a higher price point, and the Ultimate plan offers unlimited AI generations. Student pricing provides 30% off the Core plan.
Team plans are available for small agencies and studios, priced per seat with volume discounts for larger groups. Enterprise plans with custom limits, compliance controls, and dedicated account management are available through sales.
Envato Elements competes primarily with Adobe Stock and Shutterstock on breadth of stock content, and with newer AI generation tools on the generative side. Its competitive advantage is the combined breadth of asset types — no other subscription gives you unlimited WordPress themes, music, video templates, and stock photos under one fee. The main weakness for agencies is that each downloaded asset must be registered to a specific project at the time of download, which adds administrative overhead when managing multiple clients.
